The Bliss of Reading!
I like to read at night! Free from all the chaos around! You could get deeply immersed into the book's world in the tranquility of the night.
There's this "amazing" moment, during the day when i 'internally' decide to read a book 'in my mind' and my fingers are like inches away from the hem of the book on the table and BAAAM!
My name would be called from some part of the house! My mum! She asking me to do some chores. The TIMING, its always so on point! EVERYTIME!.
Sometimes i wonder my mum's got some magical hogwarts skills to do that! Like she's a superwomen which all mums are! BTW shout out to my mom( which im specifying just in case if she's reading this now which i doubt she ever would) and to all the mums! Big love!
The first book that i read, as far as my brain's recollections can guarantee was The Secret Seven by Enid Blyton! I was around in grade 4 or 5!
Also by reading i meant READING READING like not the textbooks and all that,i mean c'mon we've all read school text book. If we didn't i would not be able to write this and probably you'll not be able to read this! THE POWER OF EDUCATION! Well that's a whole different topic that occasionally tend to be sought with skepticism! A bit paradoxical but whatever!
I just decided to make use of our school library. So i just got a book that had a dog (the good old classic scamper!) in its cover.
I read it! After that i took another one of the series and the no. of library visits necessarily incresed!
I slowly started moving on to actual novels.
Well harry potter, the twilight series, john green..
Something like that..
Around that time, i realised that each book takes the reader to a whole new world! Where the story authored by a someone in another world with another perspective is laid down before you to unravel with all its thrill, suspense, curiosity, sorrow, destruction, pain, innocence, happiness, love and what not hidden, behind the ink of each of the words!
Yes!Other forms of entertainments are amazing! The silver screens or maybe the smart screens can portray the same worlds amiably! But the thing is the book lets you be the creator of the world! Yes the story belongs to the author but the way you imagine it is solely your own!
It's a Kingdom under Your Reign!
Imagine the Space, maybe Mars we've never been there anyway! But one could imagine the red surface it'll have! Imagine watching the stars, the galaxies and
our's-- the earth, from the Mars! The idea will be the same in our minds but the visual in our heads, it'll be our's.UNPARALLELED!
Or for instance imagine a sunset, the colour of the sky will be different in different minds.
You watch a movie, the story is conveyed by the grace of the director! You read the story, you be the director!!
That is what i always could refer to as the bliss of reading!
I hope you can comprehend what i intend to convey.
So, to those people out there who haven't really 'properly' tried their hand on books! Do Give It a Go!
But if its like unmitigably intolerable! (about which i honestly really doubt!) then okay it's fine! Maybe it's not your cup of tea.
But do give it a try!
P. S: It was supposed to be a readers day blog but i guess im kinda late.
As always my girl..👏
